Outward Bound Hiking courses
Looking for a hiking trip in the Yukon where you’ll not only see spectacular scenery and wildlife but also learn how to navigate with map, compass and GPS in an alpine environment, learn backcountry cooking skills, first aid and expedition leadership? Since 1997, Uncommon Journeys has been contracted by Outward Bound Canada and the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School to provide several different adult hiking and canoeing expeditions each year. At Outward Bound experiential learning, or "learning by doing," is of prime importance as is learning to work together as a group. If you are the type of person who likes to challenged, and dreams of hiking in spectacular and remote wilderness, this is the program for you!
Custom Hiking Trips
For our guests who want to hike in remote areas, carry their gear and camp out each evening, we may provide several hiking options. Hiking in Kluane National Park, home of Canada’s tallest mountain and the largest non-polar icecap in the world, or hiking in the spectacular Ibex Valley/Coast Mountains are all possibilities. We can provide an itinerary to meet your group’s specific requests and will provide all of the equipment, meals and expert guiding required to make this a memory to never forget!
