YUKON HIKING TRIP: INGRAM RIDGE EXPLORER - 5 DAYS

This classic Yukon hiking trip allows you to enjoy the rustic elegance and amenities of the Uncommon Journeys wilderness Yurt Base Camp while enjoying daytime hikes on surrounding alpine summits. Our Ingram Ridge Explorer Hiking Trip includes “heli hiking” with a helicopter ride onto the summit of Mt. Ingram on the first day of your adventure. Additional trip options of helicoptering out and/or heli-fishing are also easy to arrange.

The hiking on this Yukon wilderness adventure is moderate and suitable for families with children. Lunches are carried in our packs and enjoyed on the mountain, while delicious dinners are prepared in the main yurt on the wood cook stove by your guides. We have a beautiful sauna with a gravity fed shower at the yurts as well as a fire pit for evening relaxation. The mountains of the Ibex Valley in the Yukon are as accessible as they are stunning. The list of possible hikes in this area is as limitless as your imagination. A herd of Dall sheep lives in a gully just above our camp and we often see the young sheep playing as we hike from ridgetop to ridgetop.

Our comfortable Uncommon Journeys Yurt Base Camp is located right on the crystal clear Ibex River. Fly and spin fishing gear is available for those who want to try their hand at landing an Arctic Char for that dinner’s appetizer! An additional day of remote fly-in fishing for Lake Trout may be added to this trip’s itinerary. We return to the homestead and transfer to the local float plane base for the flight into the lake. We provide all of the fly fishing or spinning gear and instruction you need and a catered lakeside lunch. Please just call us for rates and details.
