Yukon Dogsledding Adventures

Dogsledding Adventures

Aurora Classic - Week Long Cabin Based
Looking for a trip that combines rustic yet elegant accommodation with pristine wilderness?  This is the adventure for you. You’ll spend your days mushing your own team of dogs through incredible mountain scenery, returning each evening to our cozy log cabins and yurts for deliciously prepared meals.

Week Long Yukon Quest Trail Expedition
Follow in the dog prints of early settlers and racers alike and learn to mush and camp out on this famous trail.  We will travel from Flat Creek through the first checkpoint location of Braeburn into the spectacular Chain of Lakes area. Guides and guests will work together to set up a comfortable winter camp each evening, under the Northern Lights.

Tombstone Range Expedition
This trip begins just south of the Arctic Circle on the world famous Dempster Highway, traversing through alpine terrain surrounded by beautiful mountain peaks. The legendary spires of the Tombstone Mountains fade away from view as we travel into the heart of caribou country and the Hart River Valley.

Herschel Island Arctic Expedition
Mushing along the north coast of the Yukon, this is our most remote trip.  Temperatures and weather conditions can be extreme, but the thrill of travelling and camping on the sea ice makes it a once in a lifetime experience.

Holman High Arctic Dogsledding Expedition
In 2002, Martha and Rod flew to the Inuvialuit village of Holman on the west shore of Victoria Island up in the Arctic Archipelago of Canada. They visited with the Inuvialuit people that live in the village and made a presentation to the community about the benefits and opportunities of becoming involved in high-end tourism. In April of 2003, Martha and Rod returned to Holman, this trip being a reconnaissance for the actual Holman expedition.

Custom Dogsledding Trips
For groups of four or more who are looking for a combination of lodge based and camping adventures or who would like us to put together a special itinerary. One to two weeks in duration, this trip will match exactly what your group is looking for!

Summer Dogsledding Demonstration
During the months of May through September, our dogs enjoy their summer vacation. One of their favourite pastimes during these months is getting to know visitors to the Yukon. We offer a 90 minute demonstration and tour of our kennel and homestead.
