Yukon Summer Sampler Trips
The “Yukon Sampler” group of trips was created in response to the growing demand from our guests who wanted to try a bit of everything that the Yukon has to offer – in a relatively short period of time. We combine a selection of activities including hiking, heli-hiking, canoeing, fishing, and flight seeing with both cabin - based and camping out options.
Custom Dogsledding Trips
Each year we have groups who wish to create their own winter trip itinerary. These trips are either one or two weeks long in duration. In the past they have included activities such as dogsledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and ice-fishing and may be cabin-based, camping based or a combination of both.

Uncommon Journeys offers canoe trips for the novice paddler to those with advanced skills. Trips may last from two days to three weeks in duration. Canoeing instruction, Royalex expedition canoes, paddling and camping gear, delicious campfire meals and expert guides are all provided to ensure that your trip is the vacation of a lifetime. In the past we have provided canoeing trips for families ranging in age from 8 to 68. From the fast water and remote settings of the Snake and the Wind to the more leisurely Takhini and Yukon, we have a river trip that is sure to exceed your grandest dreams.
Note: The Wind River and Yukon River are just two examples of custom river trips we have offered guests in the past.
Custom Hiking Trips
For our guests who want to hike in remote areas, carrying their gear and camping out each evening, we may provide several hiking options. Hiking in Kluane National Park, home of Canada’s tallest mountain and the largest non-polar icecap in the world, or hiking in the spectacular Ibex Valley/Coast Mountains are all possibilities. We can provide an itinerary to meet your group’s specific requests and will provide all of the equipment, meals and expert guiding required to make this a memory to never forget!
