Uncommon Journeys has been referred to as the Yukon’s “Club Med” for dogs. Learn about the high level of care provided for our dogs that led to our kennel being recognized as Canada’s first “Certification Plus” kennel.

We love our dogs more than anything and treat them like the family members they are. This section provides photos and profiles for some of our special friends we have raised from puppies as well as some of the world famous racing dogs now running in our team.

Always adorable, nothing melts your heart like an Alaskan husky puppy! Enjoy some great photos of our litters over the years and learn how we socialize them from an early age so they mature into the “friendliest dogs in the north”.
Adopt a Friend
Since the inception of Uncommon Journeys in 1997, we have been finding loving homes for our retired sled dogs. In the past we have flown dogs from Seattle to Toronto. Because they are so well socialized we often have several families all wanting to adopt a particular dog. Learn about what it takes to become an adoptive home for these beautiful animals.
Mush with P.R.I.D.E.
Mush with P.R.I.D.E. stands for Providing Responsible Information on a Dog’s Environment. Learn about this organization that was created by a group of prominent mushers in the state of Alaska and has grown to represent mushing interests all over North America and around the world. Uncommon Journeys Ltd. is proud to be an active supporter of this important organization, and particularly proud to be the first kennel in Canada to be certified at P.R.I.D.E.’s highest level.
